Hi and welcome to our chicken Coops:
All our 16 week old Pullets are begining to lay, now as they are a little late but weather wise its been a horrible summer to cold and wet to let them out side, so we kept them in longer and fed them Grass each day and gave them plenty of litter to scratch around in during the day time, and they have done remarkably well considering.
Also because they have been vacinated against worms and colic, and bird flu, they are now ready to go free range, and when I opend their door outside they were clucking, and carrying on like a lot of old chooks, well they are lol, and they were scooting around looking for the worms, that were thrown out before they were let out, as we have a worm farm as well and about once a month we throw out a small bucket full for them to scourage about and scratching in the grass looking for them, as they are counted as a Protien for their good health.
We also have a mixture of Condiese crystles in their drinking water, to keep all the narsties from them, and to keep them healthy, also if any of your chooks get Scaley legs, saturate their legs in Cooking oil, as it gets under the scales and smothers the Mites that cause the problem.
Well I hope you are getting somthing from this Blog Post this time, also as we go along you will get many pointers, about how to, look after and care for you chooks and other animals as we use all their fiecies, for composting for our organic Garden as we don't like useing Chemicals on any of our Property, all our Garden is fed with composted Manure, plus worm tea, Rabbit pee, and all the worm castings, also if you have any questions you want to ask you can email us on 2get2it@gmail.com ok great because we are just learning and are also willing to help where we can so until next time Keep smileing and blessing one and other and help where you can through the tough times. All Chooks waste now growing vegetables
Hi and welcome to our fresh-food-from-garden, as we now are preparing for spring after the very cold winter we had this year, all the young pullets have now been put out into the orchard, and all the garden beds are being prepared, for the new seasons gardens, and all the Compost and Chook waste has been mixed and rotted down into great soil improver, and we are looking forward to seeing new growth.
Also with our fresh-food-from-garden, we are changing all the beds to a cross rotation this year, as I saw it done in new Zealand, this year when visited, and was told it makes good growing that way so now we will try it out ourselves, as we are preparing for Carrots, we already have put in some potato onions, and they are doing well.
And also starting to prepare ground for Broad Beans, and parsley bed has been prepared, also now getting ground ready for some Green Feast Peas to go in; also some Potatoes,
to go in as so as ready for Christmas; and some Snow Peas are in, and the whole garden is starting to look cared for again, next post I will show some Pictures of our Garden, as so as you can see all my hard work, ok so until then keep weel and eat plenty of fresh Chemical vegetable free food, and live longer.

New Young Pullets from the Chickens
Welcome to the Chicken Shed, Remember all those chickens we shifted into a new shed, well out of the 19, we got 12 young First year Pullets, and now they have all been separated, and roosters in the Finishing shed.
And now all the young Pullets are getting ready to be shifted to the free range Paddocks, where we have a portable Chook house, that we can move all over the paddocks, with a slide out tray underneath to gather all the Chook Poo, for Composting, and spreading over veggie garden.
Also we keep a few sheep to get all the Manure and also we keep a few New Zealand Table meat Rabbits, and we waste not a drop of their waste, its all Composted for the Gardens, also we put a Bag of each variety of animals Manure into a drum of fresh water and let it germinate, for about two weeks then we take a bucket of the tea out and mix it 20 liters to two liters and spray it on all the flowers and vegetables and see them grow.
Then after the drum is empty we use the waste back into the compost heap until if helps all the other break down, then its put onto newly prepared Bed and let stay on top for a week then Beds are dug over and ready for planting, all the left overs from each bed like Broad Bean stalks are Mulched in the mulcher, until cut all up fine then put among either sheep or rabbit or Chook waste, until broken down and composted, ready for next lot of Garden beds. Ok so till next post, keep Weeding. god bless you in every thing you do, Become a Sower, and reap a harvest. bye for now.

Shifting chooks into new Shed
Shifting chooks into new Shed;
Well all new years chickens have grown and ready to shift into new shed, and boy were they pleased to get out of the cramped cages they were in when born; but now all growing well, and will stay there till moved down the Paddock, where they will stay till they start laying after we separate the cockerels from the pullets.
And now getting the garden beds ready for winter crops as its now set in a lot of rain has started to come down, and making ground a little soggy, well it will be good Chook manure, and rabbits manure, and rabbit tea for plants Wow they soon take off and grow very quickly, also cabbages, Cauliflower, Broccoli, and herbs are all been transplanted out, and are thriving now; Carrots, Parsley, also put out now.
After all the leaves have fallen from the trees, we sweep them all up and gather them, for the compost heap, and mix them with grass and lawn clippings, and other garden waste, and let it all rot down, and keep turning it every couple of weeks, as so as to get an even batch of well rotted manure, ready to dig into the top soil, for a very rich well dug into soil, and ready to replant out more vegetables.
Well until next week please take good care on the wet frosty roads, and please get car tires lights indicators and every thing checked before you go on holidays, then you can be sure you will arrive safely, just looking out for each other, as you can also interact in my blogs as well, if you keep it clean bye for now luv ya all.
